Journaling is the practice of maintaining a diary or a journal.
Different types of journals are used to keep track of various activities. If you are juggling many things in a day, it is best to index your activities in a journal.
1. To-do lists:
A bullet journal may be used where one can jot down all the urgent tasks to be done the following day. Subsequently, ticking off tasks gives one a sense of accomplishment.
2. Habit Journal:
According to research, it takes a person almost 20 days to develop a new habit. Journaling can be used to adopt new habits and track the pattern of old ones.
3. Food Journal:
A food log is used to maintain a record of what one consumes on a day-to-day basis. Such a journal can be useful if a person is planning to adjust their diet and adopt a healthier lifestyle. A food journal includes details such as:
The contents of the meal
Quantity of food intake
Timings of meals
Tracking if any other activity is also pursued while eating
Place of eating et cetera
4. Writing Journal
Such a journal is maintained for a range of purposes:
Practising creative writing
Jotting down personal thoughts
Recording any ideas as they occur.
5. Expenses Tracker:
Journaling the incoming and outgoing money on a regular basis is useful for keeping tabs on your spending habits.
